I come from a family of entrepreneurs. Both our parents took a chance and out of college and went to work for our grandpa who was a starting a business developing UV inks. Long story short, the business became a success (over time) and my brother and I grew up with first-hand knowledge of the trials and tribulations of owning a business. Most casual dinner conversations included a light-hearted lecture from them on how owning your business is the best way for true flexibility and happiness in your future.

Fast forward 10+ years, and I have graduated Columbia College Chicago with a bachelors in Graphic Design and am now on my fourth+ of designing in the corporate world with ten days vacation, and I am beginning to finally understand the moral of my parent’s story that starting your own business = flexibility. Simultaneously, it was also the time in my life when older friends or family were getting married, and they reached out about me designing their wedding invitations.

I began to really fall in love with the process and in 2016, my brother supported my idea to turn my talent into a business, so we teamed up to open Amore Creative, with him being the operations and business manager and me being the art director and lead designer. We have always been good friends and the transition into business partners was seamless as well.

We understand each other and our combined talents complement the business very well. In 2018, I moved from the West Loop in Chicago to the suburbs. We currently are taking on new clients and have invested in a small studio space in the suburban downtown area.

Our company name derives from our last name D'Amore which means "of love" in Italian! Our dad and his 3 brothers were born in Italy and immigrated here as young boys, so we grew up first-generation Americans with a big sense of community, family, faith, and culture. We translate that heritage into our work and strive to create a company culture and experience that makes our clients feel like family. We truly mean it when we say, we create with you, so that you can create with AMORE.

Styling is definitely one of my joys! Stationery tends to have a long(ish) to-do list -- brainstorming, designing, proofing, production, printing -- so there is nothing quite piecing the final product together and accenting it with beautiful trinkets! It is this sense of physical, creative accomplishment like none other!⠀
