2023 Fall Wedding Trends for Dresses, Decor, Catering & Invitations
2020 wedding trends,  Fall Weddings
Let’s be honest, there is a lot of uncertainty for wedding industry at a time like this . Most summer weddings in 2020 are being postponed to a later date, leaving brides scrambling to figure out what to do next. Many couples are rescheduling their weddings for the fall and with a change of the season, comes a change of scenery. This fall, we are seeing stronger, bolder colors. Wedding planners are getting inspiration from art which means a resurgence of rich tones and bold patterns are coming back into play.
FLOWERS AND DECOR
For starters, floral arrangements are taking on a whole new look. There’s nothing more drastic than going from a fresh bouquet of delicate pastels to dark and earthly flowers. We are seeing a lot of dry, painted and even bleached flowers taking center stage in wedding decor.
Greenery is still very popular as more couples are opting for plants as opposed to flowers. We saw this trend emerge last season and it seems that it’s here to stay. Brides are using more greenery in their draping, ceiling treatments and even in furniture. A rise in round or asymmetrical ceremony structures, as opposed to a floral backdrop, is becoming increasingly popular with the greenery trend.
ENTERTAINMENT
Another trend that’s becoming more popular is having the guests be more involved. By this we mean there is a large influx of interactive and immersive entertainment. Mixology lessons, hands on refreshments, aerialists and harpists just to name a few. Couples want their guests to be as much a part of the revelry as possible, by having these diverse and interesting experiences last throughout the event.
FASHION
Non traditional wedding dresses are increasingly popular as brides are going beyond the white traditional dress and experimenting with contemporary styles. Jumpsuits, skirts and capes are becoming more popular as brides find a way to express their creativity and style.
Another refreshing trend we are seeing is more eclectic bridesmaid dresses. The jumpsuit is making a big splash this season using luxe fabrics like velvet, satin or jacquard. A popular trend is the not have everyone match, instead we are seeing bridesmaids in different floral patterns and prints.
CAKE / FOOD
2020 is all about bringing out your personal style and incorporating that into your wedding. Couples are hiring their favorite restaurant chef to create a unique dining experience for their guests as family style dining is being switched out for more curated foods. Tastefully arranged food boards as an alternative to centerpieces, are just one of the many creative and dynamic ways to impress your guests.
Wedding cakes are taking on a more organic and natural appearance. Cake artists are utilizing all the tricks of their trade to create cakes that resemble stone, marble, or other earthly materials as well as vines, flowers and various greenery. Every season brings a delightful palette of tastes, colors and styles to design your wedding!
STATIONERY
Lots of radical designs are appearing for this fall season. As you may have already guessed, wedding stationery and day-of paper goods are following suit with bold and exotic colors. We are seeing envelopes in rich and dark hues of emerald green, burnt orange and velvety reds. Couples are opting to have their invitations created with environmentally friendly inks and eco friendly paper.
