It’s crazy to me that helpful, free wedding advice isn’t always readily available!  How do you know what to include in an invitation wordings? Let’s discuss!

1.Names

First off, you want to include your names. Seems obvious, but use your current (maiden) name. If you are sending the invitation to your extended family members, they might not know your intended married name, and have no idea who the invitation is coming from.

If either set of parents is contributing to the wedding financially, their names or “together with their families” should be included in the invitation as well.

2. Wedding Date

You should always include the wedding date. It might be an obvious one, but it honestly can be easily forgotten.

3. Physical Address for Wedding Location

When including the wedding location, be sure to also include the physical address. You don’t want your guests to be confused or end up at the wrong hotel!

4. Time for the Ceremony & Reception

It’s very important to include timing for the ceremony & reception, especially if you want your guests to either stay (or leave) between the two. This allows the guests the flexibility to plan their day, their attire or even their child/pet care at home.

Thanks for following along, we hope you found this information helpful!

I hope you liked it and we invite you to share this post!
