Today we are going to chat through a few often-overlooked items and some invitation etiquette for your wedding invitations!
- First up, you must include a stamp on your RSVP cards.
Your guests should not have that responsibility put on them. So, keep in mind that when you are purchasing stamps for your wedding day, you need twice as many stamps as you do invitations.
- Secondly, don’t put your registry information on the invitation.
It’s a faux-pas to ask for gifts/money. In this day/age your guests know where to find this information to be able to buy you a gift. They may already have the registry information from your bridal shower or engagement party.
- Lastly, on the RSVP card, include how many guests are invited to come to the wedding.
Include the name of the guest, ie- “Mr. John Smith” or “Mr. John Smith plus guest”. Side note, don’t assume anyone’s pronouns. Don’t put this pressure on yourself, it’s very rude to assume.
- Extra Tips
You may also choose to include the desired attire for the wedding day, “ie- formal attire, or cocktail wear- we are partying on the grass and stilettos may not be appropriate”.
