WEDDING COLORS
Choosing your colors is a big part of the planning process. Once you have your wedding colors, all the other stylistic decisions are easy. Read on for our top tips on how to select your color palette.

INSPIRATION By SEASON
Getting inspiration for your color palette from the season you in which you will wed is very important. Most venues decorate to the season and it's easier on you if you work within the color scheme of the season. Think how a fall...color palette would be so much easier to work with than trying to force a spring pastel palette into your venue AND Mother Nature at the end of October. Same goes for winter weddings...most venues will be set with Christmas Trees and red and green and trying to force a blush and serenity palette into this setting is going to be hard to pull off. Spring and Summer tend to be a little more flexible on your color palette because pretty much everything goes...it's easy, easy, easy! But no matter what the season, make sure you LOVE your color...you'll be working with it for a long time in the planning and looking at it for years after in pictures and video.

POPULAR/CLASSIC WEDDING COLORS
Rule #1, don't let yourself get trapped into feeling like you need to follow the trends when picking a color for the wedding. You want to make sure your colors are something you'll... be happy with on the big day and years from now when you are looking at your pictures. Rule #2, don't be afraid to change it after you've just started planning. You might have thought the perfect shade of blue from your favorite shirt was the ideal color for the wedding, but after you start looking at bridesmaids dresses, invitations, flowers, and linens, it may turn into a nightmare and you'll be fighting an uphill battle the whole way trying to match that perfect shade of blue that only exists on your favorite shirt. Rule #3, no matter what color it is, LOVE it! You will work with this color a lot as you plan, so we mean LOVE it! REALLY, REALLY love it!
